just hold down the backwards button and it will slowly go back at leats it does on mine

you don't rewind a dvd. you either fast forward or review per segment. look for the >>| or |<< sign on your remote. this means forward or backward per show segment.

It's like a phono record, just start it over and over, you will outlive it
and it will still play
