i'm kind of worried if my weight is considered "unhealthy". I'm about 5'5 and i weigh 95 pounds. If you have any advice i would really appreciate it. thanks, Val.

I think, at that weight, you are barely hanging onto the lowest edge of healthy, as far as BMI is concerned.

Remember, though, BMI is just a guide.

Better question to ask is, how is your overall health. Are you achieving your weight by depriving your body of food or over-exercising? Or, are you eating normal amount of food and good amount of exercises, and that's your happy equilibrium?

If you are really concerned, go see a doctor and get an annual checkout including blood chemistry checks. If you are otherwise healthy, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

only your doctor can tell you, actually, for sure, since it is based a lot on your body type, but you are probably underweight.

more important than your actual weight is also your nutrition and your mental health. you should make sure you are getting the vitamins & minerals you need - so make sure you take a multi-vitamin. also, if your low weight is a result of an unhealthy relationship with food and/or your body, you should make sure you discuss that with your doctor as well.

You a dreadfully underweight. You should weigh about 120-150 lbs. If you eat and don't gain any weight, you should go see a doctor. If you don't eat or purge after eating, go see a doctor.

that is a little too small of a weight. but as long as you're actually eating a good amount of food and exercising then you probably just have a fast metabolism and thats fine. but you should probably eat a little more.
