I was putting my hair into rollers yesterday and my son was watching me and asked me what his hair would look like if it was curly as some of the boys at school have got curly hair that seems to attract girls, .
I have told him that only women curl their hair and that he is being silly but if he insists I am prepared to set his hair in rollers the next time he washes it.
Have i done the right thing or should I take him to see a shrink.
I also think that he is just going through an experimental phase with his hair at the moment as he has not been to the barbours for a few months and his hair is about a couple of inches above his shoulders.

Oh go ahead and curl it it can be undone! Let the boy live. The kids at school will make fun of him if he looks dumb and it will be over.

Be happy it is only that! What no Tattoos or Piercings???

He does not need a shrink.
Tell him to wash his hair and roller set his hair as it can not cause any damage and might give you some time to do so bonding with each other
If he does not like it curly he can wash it out. But If he does you can maybe put a body wave into his hair or keeping setting it until he is fed up with curly hair as I am sure it is just a phase that he is going through

My daughter says that guys look cute with curly hair and has noticed that their hair is getting longer and curlier as well.

What the hell...? A 14 year previous might desire to have the skill to activate a fireplace alarm (if there's a fireplace) without help from every physique. except he's retarded. Yours is an somewhat sarcastic question, certainly. of direction in the experience that your exterior once you spot the hearth, you will possibly desire to in no way enter a burning development, in basic terms activate an outdoors pull station, or call the hearth branch from a cellular telephone.

At age 14 - curl it!
If this is the worse worry you have for your son, consider yourself very lucky. He just wants to see how he would look with curly hair, vs straight hair.

Don't worry about it. When you think about the things that we all- men included- do to our appearance to enhance it (especially for the opposite sex), curling one's hair is pretty minimal. Sure, not many men do it. Big deal! Tons of men put "product" in their hair, and until recently that wasn't "allowed," either. Let him curl it. If he hates it or is made fun of, he probably won't do it again. If he loves it, let him do it (or even perm it, for that matter). We're all individuals. Have you ever heard anyone say, "Gosh, I liked him- he was just like everyone else."?

I think it's pretty much normal. I'm 14 (a girl) and I know lots of guys that straighten or curl their hair...and aren't gay or anything. Don't take him to a skrink..he just probably is curious and wants to see what it looks like! If he keeps doing if after he tries it, he's probably trying to attract some girls! We like curly hair! ^_^

Let him be!
If he likes it - well it's just another hair-style. Could be a 'Mohawk' or something equally weird - purple dye one side, yellow the other!
If he gets 'hell' from the other kids @ school, you'll be using those clamp things to straighten it after he gets home the first day!
Just be happy it isn't piercings or tattoos!
Of course, if he then starts wanting to dress like you - maybe get him help. (But, apparently, there are 'straight' guys who like to cross-dress but have no desire to have s-x with other males, so he may not really need 'help'!)

curl his hair and if it deosn't look good on him just put his hair the way it was before. young boys/girls need to try these things because now if he does it and he deos't like it he won't do it ever again and if u don't let him he will do it with out ur permission....its better if u let him.

Next he'll be designing dresses, baking creme brulee, and joining the cheerleader squad.

Ask your doctor about writing a prescription for you called Homocil. It'll help you cope until you come around...
