Somebody told me once that you know you're in love when you would do absolutely anything for that person, even if it meant letting them go. If you knew they would be happier, you would do it for them. even if it killed you. That's always stuck with me..

Does this person make you smile? Does he make you laugh? Do you get goosebumps whenever he touches or kisses you? If you answered yes then you might very well be in love. Being in love usually means you look forward to spending time with someone. You can't wait to see them and you ache a little when he/she isn't around. The thought of them makes you smile and you find yourself thinking about them a lot even when they aren't around. That's the beginning stages anyway. The initial high usually wears off a little as your relationship matures but the desire to be together doesn't nor does the happiness. That's how you know after two years that you're still in love.

When you find yourself checking your emails much more often hoping that she's hit you up. ;-) True love exists contrary to what the pessimists say. It's the most fullfilling, and sensational feeling a human can know. How do you know? When you find yourself thinking about the other person and thinking about their well-being all the time. Their happiness is more important to you than anything on this planet and you will do ANYTHING to ensure it (even let them go). When they make you want to be the best person you can be...for them. When they give you so much without even knowing it because they make you a man (or woman). When you just love to look at them (even when they don't even know it). When all in the world is right as long as you can share your life with that person. When you know that there is NOTHING you can't conquer together. When you find true love, you will know what it is to live, and you will know that you will never be able to live without...

When you have spent a great deal of time with the person you are involved with. That means you have seen him around his family and friends. You have had opportunities to see how he handles himself when things go wrong, and does he use good judgment? How does he treat you. Does he treat you like the queen of his life. How does he treat his mother/ That is a good indication how he will treat you. The make yourself a list of the qualities you are looking for in a relationship. How does he score? Love is just a four letter word to describe hormones. Being in Love with someone means that you will accept all his good and bad qualities. Don't think he will ever change any of them, because he won't. If you want a long and happy relationship, treat him like a king, and demand that he treats you like a queen. Settle for nothing less. Good Luck

"in love" was when I saw a bull mount a cow through a barbed wire fence and not care.
It's a hormone thing.

Making a future with someone means knowing that the fence is there and the doctor bills are going to kill you. You wouldn't marry a chocolate cake, but some people would go through the barbed wire for it because they can't think past their emotions enough to see what is going to happen.
I fall in love three or four times a week. I'm just old enough to avoid the fences now.
If you can't see the fence, you're just infatuated. If you can see the fence, and still go through it, you're in love. If you can wait until you go to the store and buy a ladder, you're already married.

...when you're afraid of loosing that person.

Being "in love" is not about butterflies in your stomach...that’s being nervous.

Being “in love” is not about wanting to see and be with that person every single waking moment of your day... that’s being infatuated.

Being “in love” isn’t loosing your virginity to that person... that’s lust.

“True love doesn't happen right away; it's an ever-growing process. It develops after you've gone through many ups and downs, when you've suffered together, cried together, laughed together.” - Ricardo Montalban

You will know. Its a little bit of a sick feeling. You can not really concentrate on anything. Your mind keeps going back to your last conversation you shared. You daydream a lot. Trying to get that knot out of your chest you sigh a lot. This is just my view on it.Believe me you will KNOW!

You just do. It's a mental thing, but knowing it only happens, when your mind is realy open to it.
