OK folks, yes this is a joke. I just wanted to know what kind of people are out there, I have three healthy, happy, loving, grown children, and I never BEAT them. I did smack them on the butte a couple times though. :)

No, smack yourself upside the head for leaving the phone where a ONE YEAR OLD could get his hands on it. At one, he really doesn't know what he is doing.

Do not beat your kids!!! I believe that light spankings are OK if and only if the situation warrants it. But there alternatives, such as time out. It works really well on my daughter. But your child is only 1yr old. He or she doesn't know the effects of his or her actions yet. The phone was in a place where your kid could reach it, it's your fault that he got it. My daughter has broken things before too, and she'll probably break more things too. It's not the end of the world. That phone can be replaced your child can't. Parents don't realize that we overreact too many times. A child is empty inside when they come to us, we fill them up as they grow. We should fill them with good things like love, trust, and responsibility. We teach them whether we mean to or not.

Josie826 above have a good answer. But, what I do and it fun, talk like the world has come to an end and now Santa will not come. Then you call Santa on the phone and fix things. Ha! I just look at having a child as having to lose a few things. I know your question probably a joke. But, I tell this. I bought this radio controlled car it was really cool. Well, one day my step-daughter and her friends decided to take it down to the river, without my knowledge. Needless to say, it did not come back! I found the Remote, Ha! "Where my car go"? A few weeks LATER she tells me skeptically; "We borrowed your car and, well, it sorta went in the river". I said; "OMG! My $200 car! (Her eyes got like coffee cups) This is, well this is, like what I used to do"! Then I hugged her and say; "It just a toy and it was only $30, I believe you worth more than $30, and, even if, it really was $200 I would have crashed it one day myself".

Are you crazy? Beating a child over a stupid phone is absurd!! my 4 year old put my brand new $200 cell phone in the bath. Did I even spank her? NO!!! I explained that she did wrong....then went out and bought a new one. What would it do to her self esteem if i punished her by hitting her? You are the parent....You teach DON'T BEAT!!!!!!

Yes! Definitely! That way child services can come and arrest you, give the child to a loving family, and you can spend the next 15 years (in Missouri) having Bubba beat your *** in prison till your sorry.

Umm sure if you like to abuse your children and absolutely don't care about them. Your baby is only 1 years old, I am more then sure that the child had no idea what he was doing. You need help if you think beating a one year old because they did something wrong is an option.

no
he won't understand a thing of the beating...it will be only you feeling batter for the moment...in the case you are close to the animal stage...
sorry for you cell...things like this happens everyday...if you'll ever feel you want to beat your child I suggest to ask for help...like you did now...or even real help.punching a door or a wall can also help for the moment.
love your child.never hit him...for no matter what

Oh please I hope your being stupid because if that was a serious question you need help. A one year old has no idea what right and wrong is. It is simply exploring its enviroment and learning. Beat yourself for leaving it in reach and go by new--no wait. Use the money to get yourself some help.

No. Beat whomever left the phone where the one year old could get to it.

Then beat whomever was supposed to be watching the child.

One?, you shouldn't be hitting a one year old child, he doesnt even really know he did bad.You should concider yourself lucky you are online and no one can report you. You look him in the eyes and let him know what he did wrong, but striking the child will only make him scared of you not sorry for breaking your phone, which should come second to your child anyhow
