pilots have balls. And The Us is not happy about the death toll in Iraq either, we have to work towards compromise so the US can pull out of Iraq and Iraq can effectively govern itself. But the insurgents and all sectarian violence must cease.

These are the kind of people that should not be allowed on message boards such as this. To answer the question each branch of the military is trained in basic hand to hand combat. Also if the insurregents would stop running and hiding where women and children are there would not be as many deaths. They are the ones that are afraid to fight in my opinion.

If the insurgents in Iraq cared about the people of Iraq they wouldn't use apartment buildings as launch sites for their mortars. The insurgents use the civilian population as a screen then those who go after the insurgents are blamed for the civilian deaths. I have also noticed that the insurgents seem to be killing more civilians by using suicide bombs or car bombs against bakerys, vegetable markets, and places of worship. The biggest percentage of civilians are killed by the insurgents not by the American military. It is just easier for the press to lay the blame for all civilian calualties on Americans.

I must say that this is a horrible way to get your point across on civilian casualties... most of the pilots rely on intel from other ground troops, satellites, and other visual contacts. The only time pilots fire upon buildings is when suspected enemies are in the location... so we dont have to SEND ground troops, which endangers AMERICAN lives... get it?

Wow, great question.... I'm guessing that since you just joined today and you have no profile, you are nothing more than some chicken sh-t Al Qaeda sympathizer who is just trying to make a political statement in the form of a "question". Your "question" doesn't even make any damn sense. Being a naval aviator, I beg you to find (a) a terrorist who knows HOW to fly a combat aircraft and (b) one who has the balls to dogfight "man to man" against any US military aviator. Oh, I forgot they only know how to fly against huge stationary buildings.

You should get kicked in the nuts if you have them.

Maybe you should ask a hero like John McCain who was shot down.

Do you put the eyes out of women in your country for wearing make-up?
I bet you don't have the freedom to vote.
Combat pilots fight other combat pilots.
All your combat pilots got shot down.

Hello! They do fight man to man. They have to rely on their training, and skill to make out alive. You are going by a war were we have totle air control. Look at history. You control the air you control it all. You still have the stuff that's going on in Iraq.

"Helllllllooooooooo", they are called pilots for a reason.
and that is cause they fly "airplanes"
I'm pretty sure that they were also trained to fight people on ground, if their airplane ever gets damaged, or something like that.
Next time ask a ? that would actually make sense.
O, and for your info, I'm going to be training as an "Army pilot" pretty soon.
and yes, I will be flying a army airplane.
