no, i never had, but i've had salad with pickles.

Pennsylvania Dutch Pickled Cabbage Recipe
Ready in: > 2 hrs
Serves/Makes: 12
Ingredients:
1 medium Head cabbage
1 large Carrot
1 small Green pepper
1 Stalk celery
1/2 cup Granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/2 cup Vinegar
Directions:
In large bowl, grate cabbage on medium grater; grate carrot on fine grater and dice celery and pepper; add to cabbage, carrots. Add sugar and salt and mix until it forms juice. Add vinegar and mix well. Refrigerate. This will serve about 12 people and will keep for 2 weeks.

No, but pickles can be put in different salad dishes such as potato salad, tuna salad, chicken salad, pinto bean salad, and I'm sure the list goes on.

You can buy it at the market in a glass char. It's mainly pickled cauliflower, roasted bell peppers, carrots etc.
