Yes, Jesus was by race a Jew. He was rejected by the Jews, crucified, ressurected and He was preached to the Jews first and also to the Greek. Everyone has the gospel today and we can accept or reject Jesus and God.

Yes Jesus was Jewish however even after all the foretelling of signs that Jesus was to be the messiah, Jewish folk still are waiting for this Messiah. When just plainly Jesus is this Messiah.

His Mother was a Jewess and until such time as he began his mission to universalise the faith he remained a Jew. As soon as he stepped out, as it were, on his Mission his relationship to the faith of his people began to alter; by the time he had been crucified, resurrected and ascended into heaven the new Christian faith had transcended and overshadowed the Jewish root from which it sprang.
The only path for Islam and Judaism is to embrace the divinity of Jesus and integrate that reality into their respective faith traditions.
