my school had a dance party. and my friend who is moving right after christmas wanted to dance with this guy who was going out with another girl. and his girlfriend wasn't even there. my friend like him since sixth grade and she has never danced with a guy in her whole life. and i'm really good friends with the guy. so i just went up to him and asked him and he was like i don't even know who that is. and i just can't. and i was like well, your girlfriend isn't even here. and he was like i know thats why! and i know that dancing with her might ruin his reputation becuase he is popular like me but my friend isn't popular and she isn't the prettiest girl in the whole world. but i felt really bad becuase it was her last party. and him and his girlfriend has been going out for three years and they now just got their first kiss. so i don't think that they are that serious about each other.so do you think that he was right to say no? Do you think that its right for me to be mad at him?

You have no reason to be mad, He has the right to say no

Yes, he was right to say no. If his g/f wasn't there and it made him feel uncomfortable (to go behind her back), he had every right to say no! You have no right to be mad at him. And being his friend, you had no right pressure him into doing something he obvioulsly didn't want to do. This should show you that he warrants more respect by not compromising his relationship with his present girlfriend no matter how serious (or not) there are about each other. Sounds to me like he is on the right track to being a good partner in any relationship. Go back and apologize to HIM and let him know that he DID do the right thing! Good luck!

It's OK to be mad. You just are what you are but do consider his feelings. He was trying to be truthful and be considerate to his girl. Would you like him as much if he weren't? Who likes a guy who isn't honest? Who runs around dancing with unknown females when his girl's not around?

C'mon honey. He did the right thing for him. Not an insult to you or your friend. Try to see his point of view and ease up a bit.

U shouldn't he was loyal to his girlfriend the whole time u know it is hard for a guy to do that especially if the other gurl is drop dead gorgeous.

I respect him and his answer.
It would have been different if his
girl was there to clear it with her.

However on the flip side.......

If he said no because he thinks
he is too popular and she wasn't....
I don't think I would want a friend like that.....

Integrity.......

Hoping your friend had good times any ways
and it didnt depend on him.

Best wishes

how big headed and egotistical are you? quotes "he is popular like me but my friend isn't popular and she isn't the prettiest girl in the whole world." who made you queen of sheba?
I think you should sort your own big headedness out before worrying about something so stupid and immature as that..
