What you need to do is,
you need to go to the store, and find the cutest hair scrunchies ever, and buy them for her. Like, in a 12 pack, or something.
And get a little note, writing down you're sorry and everything, and attach it to the scrunchies and put it all in a little tote bag, and call it a day.
And then take notes of what -doesn't- work in the bedroom and move on lol
and I advise you don't play with the banana clips lol
when you go to the store to the hair isle, you'll know what I meant

maybe she's not ready for sex toys... just talk to her about it... ask her what exactly freaked her... when u wanna talk to her about it, try giving her something nice (like chocolate if she likes chocolate...)
