A mutt because first of all I have one. Next he has so many different kinds of dogs in him he is a little bit of everything that is good and for the bad stuff like nasty behavior he doesn't know that those behaviors are there so he is an all around good dog. I always recommend mutts because they are so often overlooked and are such sweeties. I have had pure breeds in the past and will always pick a mutt. By the way his name is Samson.

SHELTIES! They are intelligent, sweet, loyal, active, and just plain fun to be around! I have two, plus another that has since passed away. I cannot imagine never having a Sheltie in my life :)
Having worked with dogs for many years, I've come to prefer certain breeds over others, but I'd have to say Miniature Schnauzers are right at the top of my list. They are big dogs in a small dog's suit --- they have great spirit and energy! Other faves are Miniature Doxies (all 3 varieties) and Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, 'cuz they're so darn sweet and cute XD!

Dachshunds are great dogs and so cute! My parents had one named Heidi. She thought she ruled the house. My favorite dog is a Shetland Sheep Dog or Sheltie. Mine is blonde but most are black white and blonde. He is a very good dog except that he has separation anxiety. He goes nuts when I leave the house. And he eats the cats' food if I forget to pick it up when I leave. Other than that he is wonderful. His name is Bogie and he is 2. My second favorite dogs are beagles. The are so smart and so cute and so loving and adorable and very much a family dog. Also I have 2 cats, Natalie is 19 and Maggie Mae is 2. My little fur kids.

I have had dogs all my life and I have all different breeds. I never fell in love with a breed until I started hanging around my boyfriend's Lab. I was so in love I had to get my own, and now I could not be without one. They are the most loving, intelligent, affectionate, intelligent, versatile, adaptable dogs. Their favorite thing is just to be around you. My Lab goes everywhere with me. In the summer I take him swimming, in the winter we go sledding. We always go hiking and camping. Their coats are great for all seasons, and they just do everything. My Lab is a year and a half and by 8 months he knew 75 different words or commands. They are very intuned to people and their feelings, and it is no wonder why they are not only the number one dog here and in England but also the number one dog used for service work. I would not trade mine for a million dollars.

Any dog with a great attitude! I used to have GSDs, and considered myself a 'big dog' person - I now have Lancashire Heelers (only 10-12" at shoulder) and have had to admit that character and attitude is not related to size - these little guys are just the business.

Rottweilers. I have 2. They have always been there for me. No matter what they love me and ya know I do the same for them. Another reason is I take my rotts out around to other people around children other animals to show that not all rotts are bad. They like a few other breeds have a bad reputation, but little by little I am trying to show people that not all dogs that are of one breed are bad.

I love Saint Bernards, because they are awfully cute and fluffy. And they dont need a lot of exercise when they are still young - due to delicate bones. They grow up to be BIG dogs, they are protective, and can sense danger, and will take care of you when you are sick. They are also really good with kids, they can tolerate alot. They shed and drool- but it comes with a package of love!!! its all worth it!

I like Huskies. I think they are absolutely beautiful, but they are a handful. My favorite type of dog right now is my brittany spaniel named brown sugar. I love her.

I have #5 Chihuahuas. I love them because they are loyal, smart, funny, low maintenance, easy to take care of, protective of their owners, friendly{at least mine are}, great watch dogs, and you can take them just about anywhere you go.
