Teesside parmo
Ingredients
Pork or chicken fillet
1 egg
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
Béchamel sauce
Parmesan cheese
Method
1. Take the piece of flattened pork or chicken fillet, beat the eggs.
2. Dip fillet into the egg and then the breadcrumbs to coat, then deep fry, brown fillet on both sides.
3. Add béchamel sauce and parmesan cheese and place under the grill.
Parmo, short for parmesan, is a food dish and was invented by the Europa Restaurant in Middlesbrough in the North East of England. Much-prized in Teesside and the surrounding region both as a restaurant meal and a take-out snack, it is normally served with chips and a choice of salad, coleslaw or creamed cabbage.

I've never heard of it so don't know what you're looking for... but a quick search yeilded 135 results! So lots of people must know what you're talking about and enjoy cooking and eating it!!
(Though when my search results offered something on "Vlad the Impailer" as number 4 in the most likely things I was looking for...I did start to wonder what was being cooked and eaten!!!)
