it is best for those who are to become our leaders(priests etc...) that they do not become married. a married man is divided between his wife when he should be solely devouted to the priestly duties and not be swayed by a significant other, marriage among the lay people is fine and even encouraged in scripture,so is the fact that priests shouldn't marry.

Jesus encouraged marriage, and even though he wasn't actually married, he encouraged. And besides, how would we reproduce? Morally?
