I was a manicurist/salon owner for 7 yrs.
Personally I do not like pumice stones, use the artificially made ones that look like styrofoam. If you have bad calluses you can also use a calluse scraper, the kind that looks like a chesse grader, not the one with a razor blade in side. Both of those can be purchased at Sally's beauty supply.
* Use calluse scraper, if needed, on dry skin. Do not over
scrape, your feet will end up very tender.
* Scrub with pumice in shower, you can use body wash
with it, or any exfoliating scrub ( I like St. Ive's apricot
scrub). Just make sure it's wet.
* Finish off with a thick lotion (again, I like the Body
Creams from Bath and Body Works).
You can use the scraper once a week, but you can use the pumice and lotion everyday.

Mary Kay offered the Rosemary Mint Bliss Pedicure Set earlier this year. It's affordable, works great, and will get your feet silky smooth very quickly! It includes fizzies to add to water to soak your feet. Then there is a foot mask, mint lotion, pedicure socks and a foot scrubber/brush. They were limited edition, but I stocked extras because they're great year round!

For a quick fix, slather pure Vaseline on your feet and put on two pairs of socks before you go to bed. Viola! Tomorrow, smooth baby feet!

The oldest trick in the book. Vaseline and nice, fresh, clean, cotton socks. Wash your feet, exfoliate( using some of the techniques described in the other responses) Babygurl just slather it on thick!!! Put some socks on and overnight your feet will be softer. Do this for a week straight and you will want to make it a regimen. You will always have soft feet.

Let's face it girls, all those big heeled shoes look great and make you feel sexy... well, apart from your feet that is. They can get hard and callous.
To make your feet beautiful, take a cup of lemon juice, some cinnamon, one tablespoon of olive oil, a half cup of milk and water.
Mix together. Put in a tub. Soak your feet in it for ten minutes. Then rinse in plain water. Repeat for three weeks. Your feet will be soft and dreamy.
After a winter of being cooped up inside boots and shoes, our feet could use a little attention before making an appearance in summer sandals! Here is a great two-ingredient formula that will help smooth away calluses and rough spots, revealing smoother, prettier feet for all the world to see.
INGREDIENTS
1 tablespoon rosehip seed oil
2 drops clove essential oil
1. Mix ingredients and store in a glass jar with a screw-lid.
2. To use, rub few drops of the formula on your rough spots twice day. This works well on rough knees and elbows, too.

get a wash (either designed for feet or not. it really doesnt mater) & make sure it has beads in it. then rub that over your feet in the shower & use a pummis (sp?) stone & gently rub your rough areas. dont try to get it all off in one day. do this daily for a few days & your feet should feel smooth. also you should use lotion or a moisterizing body wash on your feet. good luck!

Pedi paddles and pumice stones work for me. A foot moisturising cream is also very good, there's a brand which also comes with these cute socks to help the skin absorb the cream.

Soak your feet in olive oil for about 15 minutes and then use a little sugar to scrub them before rinsing - they will be unbelivably soft. The olive oil/sugar combo is also a great body scrub. Your skin will feel like silk.

I use a pumice stone. It works great. Burts Bees also makes a great vegan foot cream for use with cotton socks over night. The pumice stone should do it for you. Try it, you'll see! Its pretty amazing actually. Oh, and it feels great to use a mint lotion on your feet with cotton socks over it. Its amzing that mint really invigorates that thick skin on your feet. I hope you give it a try.

Well usually feet aren't smooth because they have dead or rough skin on it. Using foot products such as as Flexitol-Heal Balm or general skin porducts (can be applied anywhere) like St. Ive's.
Good luck!
