a guy told me he 'kinda' liked me after I told him that his best friend's sister told me that she heard him say that he likes me. Does that mean he likes me or not?!

Try some flirting. Asking what does "kinda" mean? You kinda want to get to know you better or you kinda want me to come help you bathe your dog? (or something funny). Keep it light. If he says get to know you better, try and get him to open up or make more of a move. Say something like "Well what's stopping you?" If he doesn't open up or just wants to be friends, back off a bit and give it some time. Be nice and stay friends. You'd be surprised how much he might start liking you.

I think he likes you, because a guy always says the truth to the best friend and they never lie about their love when that girl they like isn't around.

I think you should relentlessly stalk him through the halls and corner him in the middle of the day with your crazed cousin and ask him out. Then, and only then, will you know the truth, my cat crazed friend. ;)
THAT, or you could, you know, just wait and see cause it is so obvious that he likes you. He's just shy like that.

He said he likes so chances are he do. There no doubt that your friend heard him say it either because he would have deny it
