Natures Gate or Toms of Maine which you will need to buy in a health food store. Neither of these have fluoride (see links below regarding fluoride dangers).
When I changed to toothpaste that doesn't have fluoride, I noticed a few changes. I noticed my teeth feel cleaner, look whiter, don't have a film on them like it did from using the other kind of toothpastes, plaque build up isn't as bad, and don't need mouthwash as much.

There is no really good toothpaste, except for perhaps your own personal liking of flavor and consistency in the paste or gel. Toothpaste is not even needed to have really clean teeth. It's all in the brushing action. Toothpaste is only for our pleasure to have a clean smelling mouth. So get what you like, or just use baking soda.

Biotene
standard commercial toothpastes use soap & artificial sweetener. The soap is only used to make the frothe, it doesn't help you clean your teeth better, and the fake sugar is there to cover up the soapy taste.
Biotene uses the enzymes that your body creates naturally to kill bacteria. This is MUCH more effective than the crap companies like Colgate or Crest push.

Aquafresh Extreme Clean. It has microcleaning particles that whiten your teeth and REALLY freshen your breath. It costs a bit more than regular Aquafresh, but you will definitely notice the difference.
