They tell you the left arm may be a sign of heart problems but my cousin had those sorts of pains and numbness. It turned out she had a very bad carpal tunnel. She had surgery and she is recovering nicely with a lot of the feeling coming back in her hand.
You really do need to get this checked out by a doctor, right away, as it may be serious

It is probably your sleeping position is restricting blood access or just squeezing a nerve a little too tightly. Its nothing to worry about, I'm constantly getting numb legs, and I sleep with a hand under my head, so that goes numb too. If you are worried consult your doctor, or try getting a new mattress.

Personally, when women have unusual symptoms have your regular doctor refer you to a rheumatologist first. Otherwise, you waste time with tests that are all negative. I know you have neuropathy, and that usually points to seeing a neurologist, but try the reumatologist first to cut to the chase. Good luck and I hope you get the medical management that you need to stop the symptoms.

I get the same feelings and i suffer from early signs of carpal tunnel syndrome ( sort of pinched nerves in the wrist ) I think they also call it RSI. I get it a lot at night and when i wake up especially when i have my hand under the pillow but it goes when i hang my arm out the bed. really though, see your doctor, get it checked out professionally

Go to the doctor. It may not be anything to worry about, but you really do need to get it checked out.
