Not hardly! A c-section is generally done low just above the symphispubis and leaves a small scar about 7 inches long. (if it is not done with a vertical scar) A tummy tuck involves a hip to hip scar and all muscles under the skin. It also involves creating a new belly button. It is very painful and takes several weeks to recover.

No comparison. A tummy tuck is an elective surgery, a few nips and tucks with the scalpel. A c-section is major surgery, often done at the last minute to save the life of the baby and/or the mom. The post surgical pain will always be worse with a c-section due to the layers of tissue, fat, and muscle the scalpel must cut through to get to the inside of the uterus.

Don't know about a tummy tuck but i've had 3 c-sections (1 while asleep and 2 awake.) All very painful but worse if it's done while asleep. With a c-section your muscles are cut through and it takes a long time for these to heal but of course with a tummy tuck the muscles are, i should imagine, left in tact. Making it easier to exercise and tone the stomach.

A tummy tuck is just removing some of the flab around the belly area.
A C-Section is cutting through muscle to get to the uterus to remove the baby.
A c-section would be much more painful and would probably take longer to recover from.

Abdominoplasty Plastic Surgery (or "tummy tuck"): reshaping and firming of the abdomen. A surgical procedure to remove excess skin and fat from the lower abdomen. Usually it is performed under general anesthesia. The operation is performed with a scalpel, so a long scar is produced.
A caesarean section (cesarean section AE), is a form of childbirth in which a surgical incision is made through a mother's abdomen (laparotomy) and uterus (hysterotomy) to deliver one or more fetuses. It is usually performed when a vaginal delivery would lead to medical complications.

As stated below a c-section is a much more invasive procedure, going through multiple muscle layers and deep through the entire abdominal wall.
A tummy tuck is a less invasive operation (does not go as deep), so the recovery time and pain should be significantly less.

i do no longer think of everywhere interior the U.S. might do the two on the comparable time. the point of a C-section is to offer a little one - that's complete with the help of a popular wellbeing care expert or an OB/GYN with a spinal or epidural so which you're wide awake. A tummy tuck might desire to be achieved with the help of a board qualified plastic wellbeing care expert and is complete below popular anesthesia (i.e. you're thoroughly asleep). besides, i might think of maximum being concerned mothers might decide for to be with their toddlers ASAP whilst they're born; no longer spend yet another couple hours in surgical technique to have their stomachs "look extra suitable". besides, your uterus needs time to cut back after a being pregnant.

no comparison, a tummy tuck is for chopping fat off, a c section is for getting a baby out of the womb.
