Because Bush could not catch Bin laden so he went after an easier target plus vengeance for his daddy I myself don't hold all Muslims accountable for what some do as I don't hold all men accountable because some are horrible, or all priests because some are child molesters, or all white people because some are killers etc, or all black people because some are killers etc I could go on with this all day but you get my point we cannot hate or judge a group of people because of the actions of some

It's all about money, signified in oil...

The matter is not muslims, It's policy and money.. It's like putting Iran between the jaws of the giant: American Iraq and Israel.. inorder to maintain the required discipline in the middle east, also Saddams regime, like any other tyrants, falls eventually, it was one of the worst regimes ever. He used to steal the money of Oil for himself, then why not another country take this money, give some to the robbed Iraqis, and help the community to face terrorism with the rest?

The Iraqi regime, Like Taliban and Al Qaeda deserved to fall.. still there are more regimes Arabic to be specific, which needs to be overthrown.

If the Arabian countries fairly distributed it's wealth for its people, the twins wouldn't have fell.. If A man can live a good life, eat well, sleep well, MAKE A FAMILY, which is impossible in many Arabian countries because of the very poor income, this happy man wont be a suicidal insane bomber...

When a man lives a good life, he understands the value of human life.. he wont travel to kill innocent people any where in the world.. ask me.. in a country, where people drink swer water, eat poisonous food, breathe pollution, it'd be easy to convince such a guy to destroy "those rich filthy guys" as he has nothing to lose.. the Turant regimes keeps telling its citizens that USA and Israel is the reason, well, that's not true.. I knew many israeli people online who only wants Peace.. its the totalitarian regimes that abuses people and therefore, abuses the whole world. Islamic religion is peaceful, but those tyrants needed justifications for what they do and are doing, so they found certain hoobo holy men that interpret the religion in weasel words to convince the ignorants and citizens of their legitimacy.. and that's the gap between Islam and the west. If you have seen the movie "13th worrier" you'll find that both cultures can live together because they worship one God.

In such Chaos, He who has got the power must maintain order.. but America should have tried diplomacy much further.. I belive it's the solution to all problems. when power is needed it must be the role of the UN.

Many Muslims has lead the situation to be what it is now and they have to pay for it.. Muslims became racists towards Israel, infiedles, and many other groups, which is not actually Islam.. Islam refuses such racism.

Regarding Muslim women, The matter is not complicated, every human may wear what's suitable for him or what he\she thinks is suitable without violating public order or common consent.. laws must be respected, if France banned the viel, It's a wish of a soverign that must be respected.. I can't talk to someone I can't see his or her face, this is racism.. and tell me.. Which is more attention attracting: a veiled women in holywood, or a normal woman???

see the point?

Muslims left the religious call to peace, love, science; and happiness and started to fight to imply a piece of cloth on a woman !

Why do we as muslims still recognize the woman as an uncompleted deformed creature that needs a male to decide for him? I don't know... The Veil is there for who wants to wear it, the veil will be nothing if the female cheats on her husband.. It's a matter of faith, bonne afide.. and not matter of cloth and wearing.

If we are experiencing such chaos, it's our problem, but to export the result of this in the form of terrorism and hatered to other nations, this is unacceptable and requires intervention form any one who can repair it...

It's all a matter of policy.... the policy of peace.. and oil....!

Regards...

No people! Saddam was not the issue to invade Iraq. Who cares if Saddam killed his own people (not our business anyway). Other leaders did it and still doing it. The issue is Iraq itself. Conquering Iraq means obtaining a life-time power. Iraq has the best strategic location in the Middle East. It has lots of oil (now more than Saudi Arabia) since they just discovered more underground lakes full of crude oil. We need military presence in the heart of the Mideast. From Iraq, we need to keep our eyes close at the European Union from getting any more powerful. We need to strengthen our dollar value. We need to protect Israel for ever. We need to control the Mideast closely. Well, unfortunately, Saddam was such an idiot for not cooperating with the USA. He insisted of being a defiant and a rebel. Look at Qaddafi of Libya. He was on the black list of the USA. He decided to be cooperative and USA forgave him and removed him from that terrorists' list. But Saddam was too arrogant like Bush now. We had to remove him and install a puppet figure head Iraqi government. Unfortunately, Iraqis fought back and USA never expected that Iraqis will react this way. Surprise....surprise!...very unpleasant surprise!

first of all, from the way you ask this question i can see you are obviously upset at the US reaction to 9-11 and perhaps angry that bush decided to invade Iraq in retaliation. i too am upset that instead of investigating the reasons for hatred for the US and looking into ways that reconciliation, and therefore prevention, could be achieved, our government had to turn around and commit acts that further increased hatred and alienated us from people all over the world. this may be the single-most ill-conceived foreign policy that America has ever carried out, and we are seeing the horrible results of this mistake now that Iraq has turned into a disaster.

why did we invade Iraq? i cannot tell you, but i know several sources to find out the answer. bush already had designs on Iraq before 9-11, and soon after had mae up his mind to invade, as was shown in the famous Downing Street Memo. bush was surrounded by a staff who were very friendly to a preemption policy formed in Clinton's presidency and perhaps before. Douglas Feith, Rumsfeld, Bill Kristol, Paul Wolfowitz, and Dick Cheney were all cut from the PNAC cloth and had (have) this idea that a show of strength and hegemony in the mid east will pay off in the long run.

is oil a factor? sure, economics always are a factor and whoever tells you otherwise are most-likely exhibiting an emotional reaction to the Left. history is complex and it is hard to "prove" any war for oil theory, but if you simply look at what countries the US get involved in there is a direct correlation to economic interests. this is why we even care to remove saddam hussein and yet we don't hear a thing about invading Darfur, for example. we will protect our interests, plain and simple.

hatred for the west fueled support for osama bin laden and put his team together, and likewise counter hatred for "those who attacked us on september 11" fueled the support for a president who was interested in retaliation. bush did not attack Iraq because he hates muslims, he attacked them based on a strategy formed by people more interested in regaining control over the region than in looking in the mirror.

so invading iraq neither solved the problems that caused 9-11 in the first place, nor deterred hatred for the west, nor protected America, nor made any steps whatsoever in the direction of making peace with those in the mid east, nor freed anyone, nor saved more lives than it cost. it was therefore a complete and utter failure in every sense. ironically, bush is of christian faith, which professes forgiveness towards enemies and love towards those who hate; instead, he has shown that he is no different than osama bin laden and radical extremists who seek revenge and retaliation for grievances towards them.

hypocritical? sure, but the lesson here is that religion does nothing to prevent man from being biological -- he will always choose war and violence over peace. i suggest you accept this and do not expect consistency and do not expect humanity, you will be less disappointed or upset. this goes for your own people, by the way. if you are Jewish, acknowledge your own "suppressed people" are suppressing Palestinians, if you are American, know that your own country who was freed from Britain's iron hand turned and did similar things to Native Americans, if you are Sudanese, well, you get the point....

hope this helps.

It's a good place for attracting terrorists and killing them. Like a bug zapper. It's better than killing them here in the U.S., too messy and complicated. Send us your terrorists and we'll just keep killing them. Everybody wins, they get to see Allah, we get some good real-world training. The longer this goes on, the better we get and the weaker they get.

Oh, and anyone who says oil was the reason, is a moron.

The war is to remove dangerous individuals like Saddam Hussien from positions of power. He killed and tortured many people in Iraq.

The United States will be in a war there for the next 30 years. It is our duty to continue supporting the people of that nation and to stabilize the middle east.
