I can tell by your question that you are not a Christian. If you were you would have an understanding of the love we have for Jesus. When you commit a sin, it causes a hurt to your spirit, you know that you have done wrong, it bites so to speak, You know that you have grieved the Holy Spirit, the larger the sin the more intense the feeling. Its like saying why not hurt your mom, she'll forgive you. You don't, (that is if you love your mom) because it would break her heart and in turn cause you pain. The goal of the Christian is to love the Savior not cause Him pain and try to get away with as much as possible. Trust me all mankind pays for his sins one way or another.

My opinion you say......Ok We get one chance at this, unless you believe in reincornation then we return after each passing in another host, with another chance to fullfill what we have not comlpete.
Live your life to its fullest, try your very best not to do harm another living being, try to live harmonously with your soroundings, do to others as you would have them do unto you, and be respectful.
Thats it in a nut shell......as they say.
