Well, for me, I see it as a new beginning, and I love new beginnings. But perhaps you are dwelling on what you have not accomplished that you wanted to accomplish. Sometimes I tend to do that too. I write down a list of what all I would like to accomplish by this time next year, and then when the time rolls around, if I see I've done nothing, it can be pretty depressing.

But just see it as a new beginning. That works for me.

Most of the time it is a big let down, because some people have someone to spend it with and others don't so it makes them lonely

No, its only a let down if you buy into the hype, its just another day make what you will out of it

I guess for me is because I'm usually watching TV looking at everyone else having a good time, and I am home alone.

everyday is a new day to me, i don't fuss about new years eve or new years day or stuff like that. put it this way today is first day of the rest of your life, so chill,,,,,,,,,,,,,

For me,it is anticlimatic, concidering the festival that it follows.
