Nope! Dogs have a much better sense of smell than do humans; he might lead me to food that would save us both. Plus he would defend me from any island creatures that tried to eat me in the middle of the night!

I suspect I would never get a chance to answer this question as both my dogs would have started eyeing ME once the food situation became serious.... much less made it to the starving stage. They seem to be less troubled by ethical delimas, especially where food is concerned.

If I was starving and there was no other way? Probably. The thing of it is, though, what happens when the dog meat is gone? You're back to starving and eating dirt.

I'd rather find an island town with some good meat.

Absolutely not. If anything, I would start cutting off my extremities and feeding them to the dog.

I love dogs, but yeah, I'd probably do it if there were no fish in the area.

I wouldn't sacrifice my dog. I'd eat it when it died. Maybe I'd die first and my dog would eat me.

uhhh, if he was a bright color then I'd tie him to a stick and wave it around everytime I saw a bird, the bird would be attracted, bite the dog, and I'd eat the bird.
otherwise, yes of course.
