Yes, it is. Sometimes a sunrise or a snowscape or a rainbow takes my breath away. And the beauty is all over the Cosmos:

Yes. ...its size is perfect. The Earth's size and corresponding gravity holds a thin layer of mostly nitrogen and oxygen gases, only extending about 50 miles above the Earth's surface. If Earth were smaller, an atmosphere would be impossible, like the planet Mercury. If Earth were larger, its atmosphere would contain free hydrogen, like Jupiter. Earth is the only known planet equipped with an atmosphere of the right mixture of gases to sustain plant, animal and human life.

I cant imagine that this perfect planet happened by chance.

It's not overwhelming, it's just not expected sometimes. Like when you walk through a region destroyed by a recent wildfire, and see a single tree staning in the middle of all the black, seemingly untouched by the fire or sprouting to life from the ashes like a phoenix. The spiritual force behind everything in nature is what's overwhelming. What it's capable of doing and undoing. That it can destroy civilizations and create new life in a single effortless sweep. That is truely overwhelming.

The Grand Canyon is so unbelievably awesome. I am sure the Alps are overwhelming. Yes, there is much beauty on this earth.

Unfortunately, not everyone shares in the desire to protect this earth for future generations.

You bet! And, like you, every time I go out at 5:30 in the morning, and it's freezing cold, and the birds are fighting over the birdfeeders, and the sun catches the frost and reflects off of everything I see, or there's dew on my cacus that I catch on film (you can see my 360 profile to see 'em) I am overwhelmed. I am 49 years old, and would you believe that some mornings I literally cry with it all? I want to be here forever, living in perfection, looking at all of this every day. With the provision that Jehovah gave me with His Son's sacrifice, I have that hope! :)

The beauty of this Earth is so overwhelming, it makes me wonder why people feel the need to make up gods and other superstitions. That's like gilting the lily.

Bless you. Your simple statement took my breath away, the veil of the common life fell from my eyes and the Beauty of it All filled my heart. Overwhelming.
