will bose (the home entertainment speaker company) join sides with blu-ray or hd-dvd? Or has it chosen a side? Anyone have any information on bose joining the format war?

Between the two formats, Bose has more partnerships with companies in the Blu-Ray alliance. They work with a major player in Blu-Ray players to make their DVD drives in their Lifestyle systems. It will probably be sometime next year before they decide on a format for sure, but I'm putting my money on them to go Blu-Ray - but I'd still buy a stand alone player and sound system than a Lifestyle system any day of the week.

Bose will chose a side if think that they are loosing business if they don't and not a moment sooner. Then they will try to make it seem as if the format was their idea in the first place.

You can see if Bose has any news about that on their website.
If I know Bose, they don't choose sides, they are their own and
make others choose them. Kind of like the Walmart mentality.

They probably wont join in teh war until there is a clear cut winner. Right now they just want you to buy their speaker systems and hook it up to whichever you choose.
