I can't believe that I have to point this out. Have you never heard a creationist's drivel about carbon dating? Have you never heard them dispute every fossil find that supports the Theory of Evolution??!!

Two words in the article prove the need for independent archeologists to be brought in: Vatican archaeologist...

In my opinion, if the catholic church has found the remains of one of the apostles, as they assert, they should welcome independent testing outside of their faith to verify their claim.

That is interesting indeed. But I'm not sure how they really know it is St. Paul. How could it ever be proven? It may well indeed be him, but it would be hard to prove 100%.

Oh, I see your point now that I read your added details. Well, it is human nature apparently to accept the evidence that proves your case and disregard that which does not. Sad, but often true.

That is so cool. Like Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. I would love to see it. I do not believe that Paul was a very nice man, but that does not diminish the discovery.

How does that affect religion at all?
Some people who aren't Christians believe that Jesus was real too, that doesn't make them believe he's the son of god.

that depends on what those archeologists find--if they find something disproving the mythos, then they will be disputed, no doubt!

What is you're point? Most atheists conveniently ignore the scientific evidence of archeology which has proved over and over what the Bible says.
