There's a girl at my school and i'd like to ask her out. I bowl on the school's bowling team, and she thinks that's cool. The team is having a Christmas party next week, where all of the team members are bowling in a just-for-fun 'tournament'. Is this a good date idea? If you need other details, just say so.

It's a great first date idea, but only if she is not going to be intimidated by your bowling team friends. I'm not the best bowler and sometimes standing next to folks averaging over 200 is a little scary. Just a thought...

I reckon its an awesome idea. It's interactive, its social, and something different from the norm. There shouldn't be any awkward silences because you'll be busy bowling but you'll be able to talk like you couldn't if you were in the movies. My only suggestion is that be nice....even if she does an not so wonderful roll and misses all the pins, tell her that she's doing fine, that she'll do better next time. Don't tease or embarrass her, whatever you do.

It's a great first date. It's fun, it's social, and you have an activity to focus on so neither of you feel too nervous. And who knows, maybe you can give her some hands-on help with her bowling stance.

bowlings a good first date, but do you really want to hang out with your bowling buddies on your first date. If its a date, it should be the two of you, not half your school

That would not be fair unless she bowls also. She may get embarrassed and that is NOT A GOOD FIRST DATE. And it's with the school? I would say to try something else.
BUT..... if she is also a bowler, then give her a chance to kick your a.s It will give her something to talk about with all her friends at school and all you have to do is sit back and smile.

Bowling is fine for a first date. If you are not sure ask her what she would like to do.

sounds like a great 1st date, with one exception...Is she going to be comfortable, and are you, with all your friends around? Maybe just the 2 of you going alone would be more relaxing....Just a thought...ask her what she would prefer, or if she has any other ideas. Woman like choices! Have fun and good luck!

yes it sounds like a great date but make sure to win by like since you are on a bowling team win by 30-50 points ahead so she gets inpressed

Sounds like a great idea, just dont be too competitive, if she doesnt know how to bowl, show her a couple of moves. =)
