That's just the point - it is not always what is correct as what popular opinion is that is really telling. I mean, I am not happy that people are spouting all this nonsense, but it is interesting to see that it is out there. Shocking the disparity between 2 christains or 2 muslims or 2 athiests. I am so glad they are all here so they can see not just the differences in their own group but to hear the different ideas that are out there in the world. Brought to you by the internet - this kind of exchange of ideas was simply not possible 20 years ago. It's an amazing time to be alive.
Peace!

This is a place for having a laugh, a bit of fun every now and then. People will write stupid answers to straightforward questions but that's half of the fun. I could put it to you that you are narrow minded and should leave asking questions to people who use their brains! But that would be very infantile of me, and I'm not like that.
One more point, religion isn't about facts and figures, nothing to do with religion could possibly be, the whole point of religion is blind faith and belief, not numbers. Believing in God means that you believe in one higher power. I do believe in God but not in the bible as that was written by man who is, ultimately, fallible.

Well David,
I find that many people do not even know much about the doctrine of the church that the attend if they do attend. Some Christians claim to be Catholic but do not even know what their doctrine is about and what Catholics believe. I am just using them as and example. 10 years ago I claimed to be baptist and knew nothing about what a Baptist believed, nothing about their doctrine or the bi laws of the church that I attended with my family. I just followed along with what I thought I was supposed to do. I went to church on Sunday. Never opened my bible even on Sundays, and did not know anything about the Word of God. I just went on what I was "taught" growing up. The same way I was living is the way many people live now. Just going with the flow. We have to seek God for ourselves, not just believer of what someone told you to believe, but what you have researched, and what God has revealed to you PERSONALLY. You have to know God for yourself. And many people who call themselves religious don't know a thing about their own religion.
I soon found out that some of the things that I "believed" were not justified because I searched for myself. I read the bible myself instead of depending on what my family or the pastor or ministers of the church said on Sunday. I am no longer claiming to be baptist, but I hope someone gets something out of what I experienced or didn't experience!

Easy answer to this one, Yahoo gives two points to each person who answers a question regardless of whether they've been helpful. And you need more points to get to the next level.

Even though I know nothing significant about religion I still have a right to be obnoxious and type various aswers on my keyboard, etc. Therefore I do not like your question.
I denounce you.

The problem is that people think that by listening to some preachers one day a week or so, that they are somehow experts, with knowledge equivalent to some who have spent years studying.
Arrogance.

there seems to be many here who do answer some questions without knowing what they are talking about. however, there are many here who try their best to answer correctly and even if wrong they need to be congratulated for their efforts. there is a vast difference in these situations.

I think that part of the answer lies in the age factor. we are not dealing with an overall adult crowd. and even many of the adults are very immature and ignorant when dealing with the things of God. it is very frustrating at times, especially when you are trying to help a few that are honestly seeking answers and truth
