i met this guy online! can you believe it? i never thought i would! we have been talking for a couple of weeks now and everything is going fine except...i lied to him about my age. i said i was 5 years younger than i really am. should i tell him the truth?

Yes i think you should tell him...i mean if he doesn't care about age in a person that is.
i mean if he likes you and wants to be with you, i'm sure that your age won't make a differences...just explain tohim why you lied..its not as huge of a lie as in if you had a boyfriend too..so hopefully he'll understand why you did lie.
i'm sure he's lied to a girl about his age too, when he was your age..i'm sure we've all lied about how old we are to a person we like. cause were scared he won't think were mature enough cause of it..or would turn them off.
but like i said, if he likes you for who you are, the age won't matter..unless he's 10 years older then you or something...i hope you are over 18 too...cause wouldn't want to get him into trouble for it either.
you guys aren't that serious yet either, so just tell him before you do.

If he likes you and you really are meant for eachother and close at age, he will accept you.
You said you know him for 2 weeks now... 2 weeks is not so much... Tell him now :) . Or tell him when you meet eachother in person. Did you meet him yet? Don't worry about it, it will come out eventually (your age), before, or after you meet him.
You'll know when is the right time to tell him.
But don't worry too much and think woo much, because it's not so important to loose sleep over it.

My friend was in this situation. She told him the truth and he was okay with it. It took him a few moments to respond but they are sitll together 7 months later.
If you want any kind of relationship with this guy he will eventually have to know. better now than later

If you think it might get serious then Yep... Don't want to start off a relationship with a lie... I don't think it will hurt you as much now as it will later.. Kinda like single but oh ya here is my wife... Better to keep it somewhat straight, Or at least I think so...
