I just got done watching the classic Bruce Lee film Fist of Fury, but the ending was really confusing, can someone tell me what that meant...thanks!

From what I understand of it, Chen Zhen was shot by the Shanghai police force for his "attack" on them, because they had their guns aimed at him when they exited the school.

I guess in that version, Chen Zhen didn't plan on allowing them (the Japanese Government) to put him on trial for the "murders" of the people responsible for his master's death. and I guess he saw it as just punishment for what he did.

because in the "Fist of Legend" version, Chen Zhen only "disappeared" and made it look like he was killed for the deaths of the Japanese master of the rival school and the General of the Japanese garrison in Shanghai. Instead, he just left quietly allowing everyone to believe he was killed.

that's just my interpretation of the ending of that movie.

Telis, it was released in the U.S. (and elsewhere outside SouthEast Asia) as The Chinese Connection.
