I'd rather have dogs. Cats are too independent. People need cats, but dogs need people.

I've had cats and dogs since I was little. Right now have got 3 cats, all spayed because I don't want my cats to have kittens I can't guarantee a good life for. I work full time and am out the house for most of the day during the week so there is no way I could have a dog. It would get far too bored, stressed and lonely. The cats need and get lots of affection and playtime but they can and do cope when I'm not there. They sleep a lot and because I live in the countryside and have a cat flap they can mooch about outside whenever they want. I wouldn't however have a kitten and leave it on it's own all day. They are babies and need caring for like that.
But right now my answer has to be cats.

I myself Have a dog and prefer dogs over cats. However cats usually take care of themselfes. The only thing you have to do is change the litter box, feed and water them. But I love dogs more because they seem to return the affection and have more of a personality than cats.

dogs are the best. Dogs can be trained more easily than cats if cats can be trained at all. Cats are like rogues, they do what they want when they want. They believe that they are in control as opposed to dogs who believe that you are the alpha male

Its hard to answer that question. I have both and to tell the truth I would be lost without them. My dogs go everywhere with me. But when I come home my kitten is waiting for me. I love all my pets. I think it depends on the amount of time you would have to spend with each pet you plan to or want to have.

I just dont really like cats HONESTLY i think that they are evil I dont know why but i do. I love dogs they will always be there no matter what.

definately a cat...dogs need lots of attention 24/7 and cats can be by themselves more....with they are younger, a dog will go all over the house
Dogs slobber all over you...sure they are playful and cute but sometiems they are there when you don't want them there and they get in ur way

I would like them both. lol. Cats are nice to have because they take themselves to the bathroom. Dogs are fun because u can make them get your shoes!! I would want a cat though because they are soft and cuddley!!!
