can anyone help me with making a flow chart for turning on a light switch?

I don't know how to put graphics in here.

Why are you doing flow charts - no one uses them any more. An activity diagram would be more approprate.

Simply list the steps including any decisions (like if the light is does not go on what do you do) Place the steps in the appropriate boxes.
