I don't drink so I have no idea. I'm doing up gift baskets for my sons-in-laws for Christmas. They are relaxation g/b's and I want to include a few bottles of beer in each of them. What is a really good beer that you would put into a gift basket? Thanks.

Pauleners Hefe Weizen
It is a German strong wheat beer. It is actualy sweet and refreshing. Arguably the best beer in the world. You can find it at your specialty beer stores or better beer and wine stores. Good Luck.

Well if this was a gift basket for me I would not mind getting a couple of bottles of Chimay Grande Reserve, Tres Piostole or Terrible from Unibroue. These are dark Belgian Ales that can be found at Beverages & More. If you want a lighter beer I would use Session Lager from Full Sail or Alaskan Amber Ale. Hope this helps and good luck.

That's like asking what is the best food. Truly a matter of opinion. But, remember: Life is too short for cheap beer. So, that said, go after some of the good imports (try Old Peculiar if you can find it), and some of the good microbrews. If you are not a beer drinker, and are trying to "ease into it," try Pete's Strawberry Blonde, or my personal favorite: Samuel Adam's Cherry Wheat. Really sweet without a lot of hoppy or bitter overtones. Good luck on the hunt!

Estrella Damm from Barcelona, Spain. Best beer in the world. A close second is Piton beer from St. Lucia.

Warsteiner or Konig Ludwig. They're a well-known German export beer. I get it at Beverages and More and it's not much more expensive than Sam Adams.
If you want to stick to domestic larger microbrews, I'd recommend Sam Adams, Sierra Nevada or Pete's Wicked.
