It's idiocy. What precisely is British culture? What precisely is a minority? Does that mean that EVERYONE who doesn't conform to what the majority thinks should do? There are more people who vote labour than vote conservative, does that mean that everyone should vote labour? There are hundreds, maybe even thousands of different ethnicities in Britain, is there going to be a survey conducted to see which is the most prevalent, then all the other ethnicities will have to behave exactly like them?

No - of course not. Essentially this is a thinly veiled threat to Muslims, saying 'if you don't stop wearing your headscarves and generally being foreign we're going to get you'.

He advised that it may be better for the Muslim women to integrate into British society generally by not wearing the burka. No-one is forced to do anything they don't want to here.

Its overdue, and it needs to be said here in the US also. Do you think you could immigrate to Saudi Arabia and keep your American customs and way of life? If they want to come here, its fine. But they shoudn't expect to come and have us change our society to suit them. Can you say spoiled child?
