1 1/2 cups peanut butter
1/2 cup margarine or butter
1 lb powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Crisco

Mix peanut butter, margarine or butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla in bowl (It helps to soften the margarine).
Shape into 1" balls.
Refrigerate balls.
Meanwhile, melt chocolate with a bit of crisco (so the chocolate will harden. Without crisco, chocolate will remain soft.) in double boiler.
Insert toothpick into refrigerated balls and dip into chocolate, leaving small area resembling a buckeye.
Cool on wax paper and store in refrigerator or freezer.

Buckeyes

Ingredients

(1 servings)

2 c Crunchy peanut butter (gener ic works fine)
1 c Confectioners sugar
1/4 c Butter (at room temperature)

Instructions

Mix well, roll into small balls and dip in mixture of 6 oz chocolate chips (melted) and 1/4 stick of parafin. let stand on rack for chocolate to drip off and firm up. Alternatively, and lots quicker, pat peanut butter mixture into a buttered pan, and top with melted chocolate chips, mark into SMALL squares before chocolate gets totally firm. After standing overnight cut. These taste just like the Reese's cups, and keep well in an airtight cannister.

These are nice and easy.
Peanut Butter Balls

* 2 c. powdered sugar
* 1 c. peanut butter
* 1/4 c. butter
* 1 t. vanilla
* chocolate chips
* 1 T. parafin wax
* 1 c. chopped walnuts (optional)

Mix the peanut butter, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy. Roll this mixture into walnut-sized balls and freeze on a cookie sheet.

In a small, heavy saucepan, melt chocolate chips and wax together. (The wax will give the chocolate a shiny, smooth finish that looks really nice.) Roll the frozen balls in the liquid chocolate and then in chopped nuts (optional.) Freeze again.

These go well in gift baskets and goody plates. They also disappear quickly at any buffet. In fact….they disappear quickly anywhere.

I know how to make peanut butter blossoms.....

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
2/3 cup peanut butter
2/3 cup granulated sugar, divided
1/3 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 egg
2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1-1/2 cups flour
1/3 cup PLANTERS COCKTAIL Peanuts, finely chopped (optional)
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
48 Hersheys Kisses, or something similar to that!

PREHEAT oven to 375°F. Beat butter, peanut butter, 1/3 cup of the granulated sugar and the brown sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat until well blended. Combine flour, peanuts, baking soda and salt. Gradually add to butter mixture, beating until well blended after each addition.
SHAPE dough into 48 balls, each about 1 inch in diameter; roll in remaining 1/3 cup granulated sugar. Place, 2 inches apart, on ungreased baking sheets.
BAKE 9 to 10 min. or until lightly browned. Immediately press a chocolate piece into center of each cookie. (Cookie will crack slightly around edge.) Cool on baking sheets 1 min. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.
