Basically, the Mayan calender ends in 2012 and their mythology tells about it. Go to a search engine and type the words ... 2012 world ends...and see all the hits you get. Have fun.

but that is not actually a sign of the end. but a sign of a beginning.
the Myans believed that everything ran in cycles, even time itself.
the end of a calendar in their culture shows the beginning of a new cycle. that cycle could be good or bad.
doomsayers simply use every possible end of time scenario to keep themselves in the spotlight.
