In Fearless he supposedly does wushu. I'm learning wushu and there's no sparring in it. I asume he's trained in several styles . Can anyone help?

And in addition, Jet also studied the following styles (some in more depth than others).

* taiji quan (the 5 main styles)
* xing yi quan
* bagua zhang
* jian (straightsword)
* qiang (spear)
* zui quan (drunken fist)
* tang lang quan (mantis fist)
* ying zhao quan (eagle claw boxing)
* zui jian (drunken sword)
* shuang dao (double broadswords)
* axe
* battle axe
* double hooks swords
* fork
* 9 section whip
* mace
* hammer
* talon
* trident-halberd
* long-handled spear
* short cudgel
* meteor hammer

From what I understand it is only Wushu that he studies, I think that it's just mainly the choreography in the movie that makes it seem as though that he has studied more than one discipline.

Other than that, I've never heard of him studying any other disciplines than Wushu either through any of his interviews or elsewhere.

Sorry.

Sorry to tell you other guys (mffl95 and Gael Garcia Bernal), But you've got it ALL wrong. But it's not Tae Kwon Do.

he was sent to a school to learn Martial Arts when he was 8 yrs old (he has even quoted as saying this on several occasions, both in well respected Martial Arts Magazines such as Black Belt and Inside Kung Fu); which was Wushu, and he became (as I recall) a 4 time National Champion of Wushu.

In America Jimi H. Woo not only taught Martial Arts but also benefited more lifes thru Martial Arts than any other in my opinion. He brought more than an awesome fighting style, he brought a system that you can use when you are not fighting, thats a great martial art. Inspite Of His Reputation as a Great Fighter His Moto stands firm to many "Nothing Is More Important Than Human Life" Look him and his history up , you will not only learn alot of cool Martial History, you will learn about one of the Worlds Greatest!

Firstly good question I did enjoy reading all the answers you provoked - secondly the type of martial arts I study welcomes new things and growths, though I doubt he study the same style as me. Maybe my inexperience to that I think there is not that much difference in the main styles, interesting subject.

Tae Kwon Do? Wtf? Jet Li is primarily a NATIONAL WuShu champion. He has a very eclectic history in the martial arts, and draws from many different styles.
