i was dating a guy for a while we both were very physically attracted to one another and things broke up as i was upset about my job etc a little needy at the time...he always stares at me when we are out and the other day i apoligised to him and he said i was one of the most lovely people he had met and that initially he was intimidated by my job ( i have quite a high powered job and earn good money) he also said he thought i was gorgeous back then and still does, i said i was leaving and he kept on grabbing me and said he would love me...if he was single..When i chatted about one of my ex boyfriends he got jealous and said 'what about us?'. He has only just started to date someone else..i have always been infatuated with him and vice versa..what should i do should i ask him for a drink as friends, i think he could of beena potential one? He also as staring in to my eyes and placed his fingers on my lips, he also said his mother loved me. I adore him whats the best way to win him

This guy likes to have his options wide open, doesn't he? He has always complimented you but never in a way that he's compromised (his mother loves you, he would if he was single). He's playing his cards, and it looks like he already has the upper hand, since he's out there dating someone else and you're here wondering if you should ask him out. Ever thought about playing a little hard to get? Don't make it easy on the guy, like you said, you have a "high powered job", so really you should be the one being sought after, if he doesn't, it's his loss, and it'll be obvious that he's not really interested.

When as guy says he would love you if he were single he means that he wants you for a bit on the side. Don;t fall for it.
If (despite not being single) he is also dating someone else, then he obviously cannot be trusted.
Accept that it is just infatuation, and put it down to experience.

The truth is not altered by the arguments against it. He is telling you that he wants a relationship with you and is looking for you to reciprocate prior to taking a risk and dumping the other girl. He tells you with his eyes, his hands, his words, and his heart.

Whatever we feel in love, no matter how we fear its effects on others, we must abide by the absolute truth. It is inappropriate to be callous or insensitive, but it is more unfair to involve others, allowing them to make decisions based upon our fears and inabilities to cope with what we really want.

What to do? Simply tell him how you feel, honestly, without being guarded. If he can share in your candor, you've found the love of your life, congratulations.

I think he's in love with two women and can't get his mind round chosing. He loves you, and his mother does too, but he doesn't want to let go of the other lady beacause he's not sure.
He's keeping his options open, I think you should play a little "chase me fi you want me". He knows his effect on you, so play hard to get and confuse a man a little.

in my opinion, you may be infatuated with one another and that could lead to disaster later on...to really be a potential you have to look past the physical attractment...beauty only lasts for so long but the spirit continues forever...

to say another thing...If he " LOVES YOU SOOO MUCH" then why did he start up with another relationship? hes a player and your falling for it.

it should not be a contest. If this is how he really feels the other woman will pick this up and eventually leave him but if you have to have him now then -----
TELL HIM-- he can leave this other woman-it is not like they are married or anything yet. He has only begun this other relationship and if he truly feels the same and is not just saying that then he will leave her for you.

Well he likes you and wants to be with you but when he says if only he were single. It means he either wants a one night stand and and will go back to his girlfriend afterwards, or he is such a good guy that he doesn't want to cheat even though he likes you so much.

Tell him its disrespectful to waste his girlfriends time, he should quit seeing her and see where you two are going. He sounds pretty infatuated with you too. I personally can't control if I love somebody or not, I can allow myself to fall in love with them which is different if they are available for a relationship. He is available, a girlfriend is nothing really......if hes not infatuated with her he is available to you. Go for it...just let him know he makes you wonder....and leave him to contemplate that.
