I am 37 years and am not only afraid of the dark but also sleep with a teddy bear.

After one encounter with a ghost a loooooong time bak, I am definitely still afraid of the dark.

I am only 19, but I am afraid of the dark. I think I always will be, until i'm 90 or dead, whichever comes first.

52 and STILL afraid of the dark.... if my husband goes to bed b4 me,i will sleep on the couch rather then go to the bedroom in the dark....

Most people are afraid of the dark. They just won't admit it.
I'm more afraid of what's in the dark.
(Here n South Africa that is usually a murder, thief, rapist.)

Of course, it is not really the dark we fear, but the inability to see what's in it. At 61, I still prefer a bit of light.
