Pray for me?
I'd like to ask for your prayers. My family and I are having a very difficult time right now financially- we're struggling just to pay our bills, much less buy gifts for Christmas. My great Uncle just passed away and my mother and I both recently lost our jobs. I'm also having problems with depression and though I know God will see me through, I'm feeling kind-of hopeless lately. Kind thoughts and prayers would be SO appreciated!

Thanks, and God bless.

Wow, alot going on huh? Well, even though youre going through this hard time God will watch over u and care for you. It says in psalms that he holds you in His wings. Right now He is holding you, and loving on you even if u dont feel it. You are such a blessing to Him and this earth. This is a poem made a while ago hopefully it will encourage you.

Footsteps In The Sand

One night a man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand:
one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him
he looked back, at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of his life
there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it:
"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied:
"My son, My precious child, I love you and I would never leave you,
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

Jack-- relax.

Get busy with the facts.

No zodiacs, no almanacs,

no maniacs in polyester slacks.

Just the facts.

Gonna kick some gluteus max.

It's a parallax---you dig?

You move around

The small gets big, it's a rig.

It's action-- reaction--

Random interaction

So who's afraid

Of a little abstraction?

Can't get no satisfaction

From the facts?

Better run, homeboy--

A fact is a fact

From Nome to Rome, boy.

What's the deal? Spin the wheel.

If the dice are hot--take a shot.

Play your cards. Show us what you got--

What you're holding,

If the cards are cold,

Don't go folding.

Lady Luck is golden:

She favors the bold. That's cold.

Stop throwing stones--

The night has a thousand saxophones.

So get out there and rock,

And roll the bones.

Get busy.

This is a reincarnated answer, but I hope it breaks the momentum of depression. Best regards, SM

Same here, sister. My parents are also struggling financially as well. I don't think this site is the best site to post a prayer request though. :-) Try going on SteelRoots's website. They have an area in which you can post all your prayer requests. They also have devotionals.....which are specifically directed towards teens--you know, they break it down for you....so it's easy to understand....because sometimes the Word of God can be difficult to grasp. Be sure to spend plenty in the Word, keep your friends in your prayers, etc.
Oh, and don't forget to witness to those who don't know Him as their personal Lord and Savior. School is a great place to start! (unless otherwise you are homeschooled).

Most definitely I will. If it is any consolation, it seems as if there is an attack on all God's people. the devil knows that his time is almost up and he wants to try to wreck havoc on God's people to try to sway their minds about God. I know how you feel because I am coming out of a similar situation. My condolences to you and your family. Try to remember that this earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal. Sometimes it seems as if there is an elephant sitting on your chest and it is all you can do to catch your next breath. But what I learned was that God may not remove the elephant but He will keep your mind and give you peace(and your next breath) as you go thru. Stand strong. God's strength is made perfect in our weakness. Tell God you give it to Him. You need His help. You are His child and He said in His Word that we have never seen the righteous forsaken not His seed begging bread. Others may not understand but God has someone near you that will help. Sometimes God deals with us on our pride. Pride is not of God. Once we lean on our brothers and sisters(because sometimes people don't know what you are going thru unless we share), sometimes they even hold witnessings to our very help in dealing with our problems. I hope this helps. Your sister in the Lord. May God Bless

Blessed are you, loving Father,
Ruler of the universe:

Bless this family through trials and tribulations
The love they have will see them through

You have given us Your Son as Your Leader,
And have made us temples of Your Holy Spirit.

Fill our family with Your light and peace.
Have mercy on all who suffer,
And bring us to everlasting joy with You.

Father,
We bless Your Name for ever and ever.

Amen

My prayer for you
God Bless You.

will do!

Whatever our paths, we're all in this world together, and at one time or another, we all need each other. Despite the hardships of today, you and your family will pull through, and better times will come. Do what you can each day; find something positive everwhere you can, and let that be your beacon.

blessings.

I bless that you and your family will have the healing strength of God to sustain you. May he bless you with the abundant riches and love he has in store for you. Be comforted in your depression, rest your head on his shoulders and let him take care of your sorrows. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Sometimes when I'm sad and things are hard I remind myself that you need a storm to get a rainbow...and it's really true...the really hard times in my life always seem to come just before the really beautiful sweet times.
