America, land of law and order, home of the Free/Brave is racist?

Question

So many pro and illegals here scream racism as their justification for their illegal acts and positions.
Isn't America legally trying to be color blind in it's application of the law?
America is a land of made up of people from all over the world. White, Black, Brown, Yellow and all inbetween colors. Religion and culture are all held equal in law.
If America has as head of it's Justice Department a man of Mexican descent, how can we be racist?
American LEGAL immigration has quotas on how many of any given culture/country it allows into the USA to maintain balance and fairness. 50% of LEGALLY admitted immigrants are MEXICAN! The rest of the world, to include the rest of Latin America, is the remaining 50%. HOW could any Mexican complain that Americans are racist AGAINST Mexicans? If anything one could conclude America is showing favoritism towards Mexicans over other cultures.
If America is racist as those on this site frequently charge, why would Mexicans want to come here?

I guess an illegal for whatever reason, has to put up with and shut up ...on the issue of racism. Just like there are racist Mexican/Hispanic (LaRaza, Mecha etc.) there are racist Gringos. If you come here illegally, you are reaping what you sew.
Is it any better in Mexico or wherever? Apparently not.
The problem in the US is not with what we say or want to do ...it is with that fact that we are not doing it. Enforcing the law.
That includes getting tough with Mexico, who encourages it's poor, downtrodden to illegally immigrate to USA. Hey, didn't Castro do that too? And it worked! Thanks to our deaf, dumb and blind government. My apologies to the truly handicapped.

America's immigration policy - while probably unfair, isn't racist. However, most of those people who defend the immigration policy ARE racist. Of course people SHOULDN'T illegally immigrate, but sometimes they have no choice, they simply cannot afford to make a life for themselves in their country of origin, so choose to try their luck in the US.

The US could go one of two ways - either completely sealing all the borders (good luck on that one - you do have rather a lot of them) or relaxing the policy on immigration, in return for perhaps stricter checks on those who do immigrate. After all, once they've immigrated legally you have their names, you've given them a social security number etc- this makes them FAR easier to check up on, and of course it means they pay taxes. You could then give them a set of conditions they MUST abide by, or get kicked out - most immigrants would live by these, as they just want a better life, and those trouble makers who do not can be deported, never to return.

Mexicans are not a race they are a nationality therefore racism is the wrong term to use.

The correct term to use is discrimination and if they are breaking the law by being here illegally why shouldn't we discriminate against them.

Americans seem to like law and order shows where the "bad guy" is always brought to justice maybe this means that the Americans would like to see the illegals being brought to justice by shipping them back across the borders.

Screaming racism is a red herring.
It works.
It puts people on the defensive and detracts from the argument that by allowing millions of people to come up here from Mexico we are serving the Mexican elite and the Mexican Government.
Every poor person they ship up here for the STUPID GRINGOS to deal with is one less threat to them.
Would not want to have a people power style revolution in Mexico when they can have it in LA.
Where the worst thing that can happen to them is that they see themselves on the news.
Whereas, in Mexico, soldiers and police will beat them half to death then steal what little money they have in their pockets.

People who accuse those who are against illegal immigration are simply stereotyping us as racists because they find it easier to think of us as ignorant rednecks than to actually recognize all the problems that illegal immigration causes and all the perfectly logical reasons why it's bad. They'd rather just claim that we're racists than address the fact that this country is already overpopulated, illegal immigrants are causing American citizens to have to pay more in taxes, and they are taking ridiculously low wages for jobs that American citizens would gladly do if the jobs paid decent wages (which would increase costs of production and thereby increase the costs of the items, but this would be more than made up for by the fact that we'd pay lower taxes if illegal immigrants weren't here sucking up benefits without paying taxes for them).

I'm opposed to illegal immigration, but it has nothing to do with race. The fact that most illegal immigrants are of a different race than me is completely irrelevant.

I think the USA should put economic sanctions on mexico if they do not do their part to stop the illegal immigrants.....I know they are glad to get rid of the uncivilized & uneducated but our government needs to put the well-being of America & Americans first and demand.....

I think people just get sick and tired of people calling people bad names. For instance beaner, ****, and so on. There is trash in every color. Also when people say get out of "my country". There are a lot of different races here. If people don't like it they should move to an island in the middle of nowhere.

Nobody said everyone in USA are racists.....But you can't deny that it is real in this country? The reason why 50% are Mexican is because of geography.....Not because indigent Mexican's are trying to take over this country, because seriously, how can one say poor illegal Mexicans will ever come to power in this country?
