Honestly, fad diets do not work. I do not recommend them, especially the Atkins because it can cause a lot of health problems in the future. I am speaking from experience because my boyfriend was on it. In a nutshell, it was a disaster.
Why don't you start off by eating a clean and healthy diet consisting of fruits, vegetables, legumes, whole grains, and lean meat. In the beginning, it is best if you omit all junk food.
Try eating food that is a natural and whole. (i.e. fruits)
Drink plenty of water, instead of sugary and carbonated beverages.
Exercise is definitely important in weight loss. Not only does cardio and weight training boost your metabolism, but overall it is good for your mind.
From my own experience, exercising give me jump start for the day and relaxes my mind.
Remember, don't think of yourself being own a diet, but make it a healthy lifestyle.
Also, portion control is important. Try to eat in moderation.
Everything takes time. Don't try to make it a drastic change and expect to lose tons of weight in a short amount of time because the weight will come right back on and more.
I wish you the best luck.
Slowly and steadily.

DO not try any pills. Don't mess with your health. Diet pills can affect your heart and do some serious damage.
The moviestar diet is a scam. There is no good diet if it says it is fast. You gain it all back and double. Be wise please.
Go to www.sparkpeople.com
It is a healthy way to lose weight.
You type in how much you want to lose and by when etc...and they plan out your meals so you can achieve your goal. They have a calorie counter and everything. Plus they give you a fitness plan according to what type of exercising you like to do. The exercises can be done at home or you can choose from walking or jogging. Whatever your preferences are. It is free with support from the members and a real neat site. I'm quite impressed.
Enjoy!
God Bless!

24 ounces of grapefruit juice a day (three 8oz glasses).
This will help you loose 4 lbs every 12 weeks...
I have lost weight using this method.
If you are looking for a fast solution this is not it...but it is easy, effective and beneficial in more ways than one. Besides getting lots of vitamin c, you will loose weight gradually, which means you won't have permanent flab to endure or have removed surgically.
This information I have obtained through an article in Men’s Health Magazine.
I wrote this next article to a gal on yahoo answers forum in an email:
Basically I just took the article I read in line at the market in Men's Health Magazine for what it was worth...face value..three 8 ounce glasses each day...no matter what kind or when....I can relate some stuff to avoid through experience...the stuff you might find in the can that you have to add water to thats frozen (called pink grapefruit juice)...avoid it...it's very bitter and not paletable at all...the best kind is the stuff in the half gallon carton in the refrigerated section of the supermarket...get Sunnyside Farms if you can...it's ruby red grapefruit juice from concentrate...but it's not too expensive...only about $2.50 a half gallon...some stores like Safeway only sell the squeezed stuff (ruby red as well) and it can get pricey...like $4.50+ a half gallon *shudders*....thats cool in a pinch...but I wouldn't stock up on it...grapefruit juice basically carmatizes your digestive system (makes things right) and supresses appetite in a manner that is beneficial/acceptable to the human condition in my experience/opinion...but that doesn't mean one needs to throw common sense out the window and continue to eat things like burgers etc. in excessive amounts...try to eat lighter...with grapefruit juice you will find this can be accomplished in a comfortable manner...I would suggest to drink as much of the stuff as you can (over 24 ounces per day if you feel comfortable with it)...this is one case where it seems more is better....good luck..

You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well.

You have to exercise and diet. Diet alone is not very effective and exercise alone is not very effective either. You need reduce your consumption of fat, sugar, and salt. No bacon, no pork chops, no beef, no fast food, no packaged snacks, no salty foods, no sweet foods, fruits are ok in small quantities two pieces of fruit a day are okay. No white bread, no sweet bread, no alcohol. Steam food is better avoid stir fry and no deep fry. Drink a lot of water every day. Exercise at least 30 minutes a day. You can get a lot of benefit by just walking 30 minutes as fast as you can every day.

I know your probably thinking you have tried so many diets and nothing is working. All you have to do is eat right and exercise. The recommended amount of exercise a day is 30 minutes. And when I say "eat right" you dont have to be extremely strict where you can't eat any fatty foods. The key is "Portion Control" and you will be fine.

Well,
I recommend the atkins diet. His diet is the only diet that actually "does not" train your body to store fat. Other diets that advertise elimination of fat in the diet are full of it. You have to eliminate what you body makes fat with and that is carbohydrates. If you eliminate carbohydrates, you eliminate fat and also train your body not to produce it as much. You could actually have very fatty food like ice cream and it doesn't do anything. Other diets that say to remove fat fail to tell you that once you have achieved your goal, your body gains the weight back twice as fast as before because you have trained your body to store it, same as being belemick or anarestic. He has books out at local book stores all over the place, his diet is the only one that trains the body not to produce it as much. My father lost 80 pounds and kept it off when he got off the diet. Hope this helps.
Sincerely,
Wee Man.

Diets do not work. 99% of people gain the weight back. Here is how it works. No one teaches the animal what to eat and what not to eat. He knows instinctively what to eat. Humans also have the same instinct. The way it works is just eat whatever tastes good and that will be healthy for you and non-fattening. That is why a baby tastes everything. So again whatever tastes good, is good for you. This is why you will spit out spoiled milk.
But wait!!! Man has the technology to create rat poison. It tastes like healthy food (good taste) but kills the rat. So man has done that to you. Note- any food unaltered by man (uncooked) that tastes good, is good for you. So if you are stranded in the woods, that is how you know what to eat (cooking changes that). So man has created fake fruit. It tastes like fruit that exists in nature but it is terrrible for health, addictive and fattening called sweets.
So it is natural to like real sweets called fruit, like a baby does, but they have fooled you just like the rat. But they do not want to kill you. They want you to become obese so you will buy lots of their foods. This is called GOOD BUSINESS. Remember the above (not on site) and see site below to re-learn how to eat so you can be thin and fit for life.
