Yes, if your parents are denying your right to marry for no good reason then you don't have to obey them because getting married is important in Islam.

If your a guy...yah no problem. If your a girl you do need a guardian to represent you in case of future problems down the road. If the father isn't willing to accept this..for no good reason, then go to a Imam.

If the girl you are marring is a good girl ( you need the girl's appoval also) and her parents gave you permission then you don't need your parents approval.....
