I went to the Royal Academy of Music because they invited me for an audition. I am a singer(soprano) and i play ten years piano but my application is only for Vocal Studies(i will be an undergraduate student next year). I sung the songs very good because my teacher, who was there too, said that all the songs were perfectly right. But in the prospectus was said that when a student achieve to reach the level that is needed, that student is called for an interview the same day but that didn't happen with me(the teachers-when i started to sing-were talking and smiling each other in a good way). Please tell me trully and by your heart:Do you think that i have possibilities to get in or should i forget it because i will get hurt? Please help me.

If the prospectus says that they call for an interview the same day, then it is unlikely that you have been successful.

If I was you, I would call them and ask them on Monday, just to be sure - but I wouldn't get your hopes up I'm afraid.

What does your teacher think ?

First of all, talk to your teacher. Ask your teacher how to get a return audition. Ask your teacher if it is worthwhile to apply in piano. Even if piano is not your first choice, once you are admitted, you may be able to transfer to vocal.

I think that even if you don't get it, keep singing! Just because you didn't get called for an interview with this school, doesn't mean that you aren't good enough! Keep going with it, apply to other schools! Don't give up! Follow your dreams!

From what you say, I wouldn't hold breath. In the first instance, they were discourteous and inattentive by not directing their total attention to your try out instead of chatting, and, secondly, you didn't get the promised call.
Don't give up. There must be a plethora of other recital opportunities, just pursue them.
