I'm thinking jewlery and she is a cheerleader and she plays softball.. um we've been together for five months..

You should make it romantic. People now at Christmas think that Christmas is all about commercialism well it's not. Don't buy her anything make her feel special. Like tell her you love her, don't go out with your friends instead stay with her spend some time together, and if you really want to buy her something buy her a really nice perfume, wanna make it more expensive? Get her a set of jewelery...Get her a gift card at her favorite place to shop. Maybe take her to dinner at a really romantic place. Make her feel special if u have kids maybe take them somewhere for a week so you two can spend some time alone

Jewelry is good, but why not be a little over-creative? Spend a whole day with her and go someplace fun, like a ski lodge or something. Teaching your girlfriend a new skill (skiing) can be fun and romantic.
