I think the fact it's a physical thing!! Being held as an infant...you feel safe...and now as an adult a hug/snuggle/touch..can make EVERYTHING okay...I think it's wonderful...

Hugs and cuddling makes you feel wanted and safe. You feel secure and loved. As humans, we crave physical contact with each other. I hope this helps!

It all goes back to you being a child, I love a good cuddle or a hug, I'm sure everyone likes it, it makes you feel so good on the inside and they are always there if you or your gf/bf want one because they feel upset or lonely!

cos you're only likely to cuddle some one who you care about and it makes you feel good instantly,
everyone should have at least 3 cuddles a day.

It's the physical contact. We all need to feel accepted and loved and hugging is one way that makes us feel accepted, even if there's nothing romantic in it.
