So why have a myspace page? Your parents, who know and love you more than anybody, second to God, might have a very good reason for having that rule. What kind of man do you want to be? An honest, hard working, upstanding guy right? So be a man and tell your parents. Or better yet, obey them and have all the webpages you want when you pay the internet bill.
Myspace is trouble and it's not a game. Real people, real young people, get seriously hurt through those types of pages. And even though you think you're smart enough to deal with that, there is a deviant out there smarter. Trust me (I come from a law enforcement family). There's a reason you have parents to protect you until you're on your own. Trust them.

If your parents understand the true myspace and not what is in the news then telling them should not get you in trouble. Explain that you profile is private and to view it you must be a friend and that you have to allow people to be friends.
Most parents will want to read up on the site about it and encourage that let them see how safe you are and let them know that you are only there for pen pals.
Hopefully they will be excepting if not then open one without their knowledge!!!

delete it. You don't need a myspace. They are more trouble then what you may think and I'm sure your parents spoke to you about why they don't want you to have a myspace. You should listen to them. They won't mislead you. They tell you things to protect you. Wheather you want to believe it or not they are not out to get you, but are trying tohelp and guide you the best the can. So listen to them when they tell you something and understand why they say and do the things they do.

you should try to talk to them into letting you have a myspace. i had to convince my parents to let me have one and now they do. just tell them that you will get a private account so no one will see it except for the people that you know and let see your profile. also promise them not to post any personal information and possibly if they are really strict then no pic. if they say maybe then " make the myspace" or edit it so it fits their guide lines and show them just how safe it can be. if they still say no then you should delete it and try xanga. its similar to myspace and is getting pretty popular so some of your friends might already have it too
good luck =]

If they use the same computer you do and you dont clear the history, or cookies they know. Why arent you allowed a myspace? Its no different then any other website community it just gets more attention because of the very few occurances we have heard of it.

honey...Myspace is not worth alienating your parents. Talk to them maybe you can work out a compromise. Like you can have one but you can only use it when their around or they get on to and monitor you...just until they know they can trust you.

im actually not allowed to go on that either b/c my dad saw sumthin he didnt like on it and he said he didnt want that kind of stuff in his house....so i dont go on it at the house....but if its about stuff like them being afraid that someone will find you or somthing like that than explain to them that you can get a private profile (say that your under 14) and ppl cannot contact you...also dont put where you live or your last name that might make them relax a bit....just explain to them what it is and maybe they'll be ok with it

Talk to your parents about it, and try to work out an agreement. You might lose it, but you will feel much better in the end. Just do not start yelling and screaming at them, even if you lose your temper (try not to!). Just talk calmly, and try not to push them about it.
