I'm a girl and I was just wondering, what are some signs that a 13/14 year old guy likes you or has a crush on you. I know this one guy, I'm very shy and we don't really talk much, but I've caught him looking at me and once when we were smiling, we made eye contact. Also, I've noticed that he stands next to me a lot and sort of seems to get maybe a little shy when I'm around, but I'm not really sure. What other things may mean he has a crush on me?

Well, it sounds to me that he may like you. 13 year old guys are pretty hard to read because they are still a bit uncomfortable about sharing their feelings towards girls and because they're afraid their guy friends will make fun of them so they try to hide what they feel . ANYWAY...The simplest yet hardest way to find out if he likes you is just to ASK! but I know that I would never just outright ask a guy if he likes me, so you may have a few problems with that. so here are some things to look for in him::
1) His voice changes when he's around you...it becomes softer
2) He tries to show off around you...if his friends are around he may try to fight with them just to show how tough he is!! (lol)
3) He teases you a lot
4) He may (if you know him pretty well) come up with some type of excuse to touch you...he may put his hand on your shoulder or randomly hug you
5) You may catch him staring at you from across the room...for me this is one of the harder things to tell because if the guy is shy he may look away right when you catch him staring.
*Shy guys will::
1. Make eye contact with you, then look away when your eyes meet.
2. Always be willing to help you our or do you favors (like rides home, or physical work).
3. Will always look for you in a crowd, then when he finds you will act like he doesn't see you.
4. Will laugh at all your jokes/will try to make you laugh.
5. Talks to his friends about you.
6. Mentions activities that you are interested in so there is a chance for you two to do them together.
7. Pokes fun at you, but in a nice way (unless he is very young and immature).
8. Seems genuinely interested in what you have to say.
11. Remembers little things that you've talked about before a long time ago, and brings them up in conversations to let you know that he remembered.
12. He will always stare at you, and your friends may notice it too.
13. When you are talking with him and your friends, he will only comment on something that you say, or will look at you whenever he speaks. I hope that these help, but remember, you can't always rely on physical things. I think that most of all it is a feeling. If he likes you, your instinct tells you. Go with your gut. Don't let your logic tell you any different.
What I'm getting at here is that his behavior changes when you're around him. Because you said he tends to get shy around you, that is a VERY positive sign that he likes you. Try looking him right in the eye, if he looks away from you than he most likely isn't interested in you, but if he holds eye contact longer than normal than he probably likes you atleast to some degree. 13-14 year old boys do not have a drivers license or car. The older boys do. It is not cool to go out on a date and have to have parents drive you somewhere. Boys do not mature as fast as girls. A girl at 13-14 is ready to start exploring "dating" but the boys are still into Gameboy. So the girls go looking for more "mature" boys, which is usually older boys. Boys who are 18 are not as mature as girls at 18. They have a hard time showing how "cool" they are to those girls. However, girls at 13-14 are easy to impress so are easier "game" to hunt. Boys are ruled by their gonads. They feel there is something special about getting a virgin. Since younger girls are more likely virgins, that is where they hunt. Boys like to brag about their sexual conquests. If they date girls of the same age, they probably are in the same grade. It is hard to brag when the girls are around and can over hear what is said. Girls in lower grades are far less likely to be in the same classes so less likely to overhear the boys bragging. Lastly, when something is forbidden, it has a special attraction all its own. 13-14 year old girls are jail bait and that seems to appeal to some of the older boys...

Personally, I don't think you need any more signs than that. I think those that you listed are enough. This guy likes you. The thing is, you've gotta let him know that you like him, that way he won't feel like hes taking such a risk when hes thinking about asking you out. Good luck.

if he is loud spoken with friends but shy and reserved around you thats 1 sign if he makes eye contact for a split second then hastily diverts his focus if hes always shuffling his hands or nervously looking at them theses are only a few of many but these are the signs i get when i like a girl

if he looks at you and smiles, he thinks you're cute, talk to him maybe you have a chance... when i was that age the way guys showed that they liked you was by throwing stuff at you tickling you poking you and making fun of you, ur lucky... at least ur guy's not a bug
