Moses came closest to seeing God in his human form, he was sent to the very back of a cave and told not to look, that was likely for his own protection. He was glowing when he came walking with the Ten Commandments.

In Human form or flesh and bones, man won't survive. The body will die or possibly be melted. Why? We can say that He is made of Pure Living energy that radiate beyond our imagination thus when flesh won't survive. His Power and Energy is far more we can imagine even you combine all the nuclear energy on earth won't come to a very minute percentage of His Power and Radiance. If man can't surive a Nuclear blast, much more if he come contact with The Almighty YHWH Elohim.

That's why when the Messiah come on His second coming, all those worthy will be transformed, their corruptable body will become incorruptable, from mortal body to immortal that way Man can come face to face with The Almighty YHWH Elohim.

Back in the seventies when I read Erich Von Daniken's book 'The Chariots of the Gods' and I thought he was onto something, I would have answered that Moses was probably glowing from the radiation of the alien space ship which brought us our laws!

Today, knowing that von Daniken falsefied his 'evidence' to push his theories across and having grown up and read up on both science and religion, my answer is that humans WILL one day see God. That is to say, humans will formulate a theory of everything based on a scientific understanding of the 'what', the 'how' and the 'why' of the forces of nature. From that we should understand where we came from and where we are headed. That is the true 'Holy Grail'!

Take a look at the wonders of the universe through the lens of the Hubble telescope and there is enough reality there to keep you wanting to learn more. Don't close your mind to the confines of religious texts imagining God goes to caves in a mountain and talks to an old man, and then is your personal God that actually cares what YOU say, what YOU wear and frets if YOU have eaten pork today or the day before? No - sorry, that is highly improbable and the stuff of fantasy! As a species we are a blip on the cosmic landscape, and to believe that an individual out of the masses that make up this blip could warrant the personal attention of some superbeing is human arrogance at its worse!

In other words, and in answer to your question, humans will one day understand all and thus 'meet God'. Who knows if we will as a species survive long enough to achieve it?

Moses say God's back as it were "God's goodness not God's glory"
we see the glory of God, veiled in human flesh of Jesus, incarnated.

2 Corinthians 3
7Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, fading though it was, 8will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? 9If the ministry that condemns men is glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness! 10For what was glorious has no glory now in comparison with the surpassing glory. 11And if what was fading away came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which lasts!

12Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold. 13We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to keep the Israelites from gazing at it while the radiance was fading away. 14But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away. 15Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. 16But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect[a] the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

I love that story! I just told someone on here today to read it- they were asking about why we cannot see God in the physical sense. God says that it would kill a man if they were to see him face to face- that is why He told Moses that he was able to see His back as he passed by- God hid moses in the cleft of a rock while He passed and Moses got to see the back of God--and still just by looking at God's back Moses' face shone so bright that when he came down the mountain, the other Israelites could not even look at him- Moses had to wear a veil just so the others could look at him. That is how GLORIOUS God is!

First it was not a "cave" Moses went in. He went to the top of the mountain. He had to turn his eyes from the LORD, for God is too pure for us to see in our sinful nature.

Those that survive shall see our heavenly Father face to face once we enter His kingdom. Until then, no man shall see the face of God Almighty! The great I AM! Outside of Moses, the closest any have seen Him is seeing Christ in person. For Christ tells us in John 1, that He and the Father are one.

In the same scriptures, God tells Moses that no human can look on the face of God and survive.

No human would be able to see the Creator, he is too powerful.
"You are not able to see my face, because no man may see me and yet live." - Ex 33:20.

"No man has seen God at any time" - John 1:18

Moses, were given a glimpse of Gods glory. An afterglow of Him passing. Others saw God through angelical representatives.

John 1:18 mentions that the only-begotten god, that is Jesus as an spiritperson, not a human, has seen God and explains God to us.

So though we cannot see God, we can lok at Christ as a perfect reflection of his Father. We can also read scriptures about God and look at his creation. (Rom 1:20)

Moses is a good example of how a person needs to be transfigured (that glowing) first before they can look upon the face of God.

So in our normal mortal earthly form, no we couldn't...but if we were temporarily transfigured we could.

The Bible says no man can see God and yet live. The humans who die and are resurrected in the 1st ressurrection to serve as kings and priests in heaven with Jesus Christ will likely then be able to see God but only God really knows.

A few night ago my wife came out of her cave, and she was glowing. Does that mean that she had just came face to face with God?

I think so, because while she was in the cave, she kept saying, Oh God, Oh God, I am coming so close".
