whenever i ask my friends for tips on how to lose body fat quickly before i leave on xmas vacation, they always tell me, you're going to have to do intensive work and cut out all fatty and sugary foods and even then, you won't get toned and acquire abs in 3 weeks. so i went home and worked out on my eliptical (a machine that is midway between jogging and stairclimbing, standing up) for 15-20 min, burning 300-400 calories each time. i also did 2 sets of 20 ab crunches on my exercise ball, and lived 10 lbs weights at 2 sets of 15 bicep curls. and then i did a little bit of dancing to whatever music videos was on at the moment to loosen up before hitting the showers. i did this pretty much everyday for 2 weeks, skipping a day every 3-4 days (i cheat). well, right now, i have a toned line going down the center of my stomach, my love handles are reduced by im guessing 40%, and my stomach is flatter. this short little routine is actually working for me surprisingly, and with such little effort im in the process of forming abs that my hockey friends say that they are JUST forming after playing for approx 3 years! see, running and walking is alot of work for someone who doesnt do it very much, and it also takes a long time to burn a impressive amount of calories. try an eliptical, its a good cardio workout and you can do it fast and burn the same amount of calories in 20 min as you would jogging in twice that time. hope this helps. lemme know how it works out for you.

The fastest way is with diet. Pick one that you can live with and gives you the results you want ... at the speed you want.
Exercising will help because any calories burned is better than nothing, but exercise on its own doesn't do much for weight loss unless you're doing intense cardio for hours each day (like on Biggest Loser). That's hard for most people to keep up for more than a week or two.
Of course I like the Kimkins.com diet, but it's only for serious dieters which is why members lose so fast.
You might like a slower diet like Weight Watchers, but it costs 3 times as much as Kimkins PLUS weekly meeting or monthly online fees.

Running is the fastest. I find that as long as I maintain a good form (meaning, keep you abs tucked in and do not hunch over) I feel my abs being worked when I run. Walking is better than nothing but you'll see results faster when you run.

Walking and running are both great exercises to burn calories, which in turn will reduce your body fat. Walking is lower impact so less stress on your joints, and if you walk quite briskly you can still burn a good amount of calories.
For ab toning, do crunches (standing or sitting)...supine reverse crunches are good for the lower abs, and waist twists, twisting crunches, and waist stretches are good for the sides of the waistline/stomach (oblique muscles).
Do a search online for ab exercises for more than just crunches, get a good quality pair of shoes, and good luck!

YES!
Jog for 45 minutes a day, get plenty of water in, eat right and you'll lose alot of body fat. That's easier said than done.

JP is correct, but you also need to build muscle so that when you lose the fat, you've been working on toning the now visible muscle already.
I like crunches for building up ab muscles. Beachbody.com has some good videos (I love their ab stuff! It kicks my butt, but I feel great after).

Its all about burning more calories than you take in, and the fat is going to go first as long as you are working your muscles...
So yeah that helps, butyou gotta get rid of eating garbage too...
