I think your being extremely cautious. Yes it is important to find another Catholic simply because of what I'm going to assume are your longer term goals. Many times the non-catholics you've mentioned have a very confused understanding of what we Catholics believe, you'll have to do some educating. Sometimes it isn't even a matter of you accepting them but they accepting you and your Catholic identity.
If your mind is merely on meeting new people and creating friendships than don't close the door so quickly, if however you are also considering possibly marriage material in your potential girlfriends I'd say stick to the Catholic girls besides there is a Billy Joel song that states "Catholic girls start much too late" you'll be her first love ;)
addition: notice how truthhandl3er guy only confirms what I state, what the heck is he trying to say? that you aren't going to find a Christian in a Catholic girl? come on truthhandl3 get with the program, Catholics are first Christians!

It depends.
While I think that it's extremely stupid and close-minded to marry within one religion, if both people in question (or even one of them) is highly religious, then eventually it won't work out. Of course, if religious conversations are going to be absent (or just benevolent without any insulting taking place), then go on ahead. But, if you know you'll bring up religion and say that her religion is "wrong," then you should either a) give up, for you are too close-minded in your religious beliefs to get along with someone of a different religious system, or b) simply don't bring up such topics if they will end in a screaming fight or with any anger at all.

As long as she knows that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. That would be the only pre-requisite for me. I'm Catholic as well and I cant help but notice all the beautiful Protestant sisters out there.

no, there's lots of Roman Catholic girls who are looking for holy RC guys, but can't find them. Keep looking. If you;re still in high school, wait until college. (for best results, go to a catholic college)
edit: okay, I guess you can't go to a Catholic college. The next best thing would be to find a Catholic church in your area, and see if they have a young adult group. you may be able to find someone there.

Most definitely. I would seek out a person who loves God with all of her heart and believes the Bible wholeheartedly. You can't go wrong!
